Inês Rueff is a Portuguese director, born in Belgium. Graduated in Cinema, she began her professional career as an assistant director, working on numerous projects with director Jorge Pelicano. Driven by the need to adapt to a type of production with very small teams, Inês developed other interests, particularly in cinematography and editing. "Francisco de Holanda, a Luz esquecida do Renascimento" is her first documentary as a director, debuting on the Portuguese Public TV channel RTP 2 in 2020. Later that year, she began directing "Planeta A", a 9-episode documentary series on the challenge of sustainability and the solutions that, at local and global level, are being put in place to tackle the problems that societies face. The series premiered in May 2022 on RTP and, later that year, was nominated for the Prix Europa for Best TV Documentary.
