Universidade de Lisboa 2022/23

Inspired by the poem of Ricardo Reis, the opening video for the academic year 2022/23 at the University of Lisbon, embarks on several academic journeys, emphasizing the importance of students exploring all opportunities, passions, and interests to the fullest as a means to better understand themselves and, in the end, become the best version of themselves.

Concept

Using an orchestral concert as a catalyst for the narrative, the video proposes a journey through academic life exploring the iconic spaces of the university. Without resorting to voice-over or graphic elements, sound and imagery blend in a sensory montage where the conclusion of one action triggers the beginning of another, crossing the various study areas of the University in a dynamic and progressive edit.

In this context, a motion design video was created with the purpose of acknowledging the significance of these employees as an essential part of the institution, representing them through the colours associated with the schools or faculties where they worked.
The video culminates with the rearrangement of the names that form the University of Lisbon's logo.
