Active Citizens
Through five compelling stories and a documentary, developed in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, we reveal the profound impact of the Active Citizens Programme on the lives of its beneficiaries. A journey into social transformation and the power of community action.

-
Throughout its course, the Programme funded 182 transformative projects that promoted democracy, active citizenship, good governance, and transparency. It also defended human rights and championed social justice and the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
These stories, told firsthand by those who lived through the transformation, go beyond numbers and statistics, offering an authentic and human insight into how the Programme changed the lives of its beneficiaries.
More Than Stories partnered with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to produce a series of five visual narratives, each around 10 minutes long, illustrating the impact of the Programme on the lives of 27 Active Citizens who became part of an advisory group. A 20-minute documentary was also produced, capturing the involvement of the advisory group in various initiatives of the Foundation.
Sustainable Production
This was the first project by More Than Stories to create a Sustainability Report, showcasing the sustainability measures implemented throughout the production, as well as the project's carbon footprint calculation. The full report is available here.
